A2O LITE NEON Dance With a Long-Distance Friend, Boyfriend or Girlfriend

You can do the A2O LITE NEON dance with someone in another city or country. Each of you sends one photo, the person making the video uploads both to NEON Duo AI (a2oliteneondance.org), and about 10 minutes later you get a 15-second video of the two of you doing the NEON intro together in the same white studio. Nobody films, nobody learns the dance, and the photos don't have to be taken together.

Why the NEON intro suits long distance

The NEON intro is built around a reveal: one person stands alone in an empty white studio, then the second leans out from behind their shoulder. For two people who live apart, that reads like a surprise visit, the moment the other person "shows up". It works for a partner, a best friend who moved away, or a sibling studying abroad.

You, and both people in the video, must be 18 or older, and both people must agree to be in it.

Step 1: Ask for the right photo

The one photo the other person sends decides how they look in the video. You can copy this message:

Can you send me one photo of just you for a NEON dance video? Face clear and facing the camera, good light, no sunglasses or hat, and full body if you can. Please send it as a file or in original quality, not a compressed chat photo.

Why each part matters:

Just them, face clear. Each photo must have one person, with the face visible.
Full body if possible. The outfit is taken from the photo. A full-body photo keeps more of it; a chest-up photo has the rest filled in to match. It may still not match exactly.
Original quality. Chat apps often shrink photos. The photo needs to be at least 512 × 512 px.

Want to look like a pair? Agree on outfits first, for example both in black, or matching white T-shirts, and take the photos in those clothes. The video uses the clothes in each photo, though an exact match isn't guaranteed.

Step 2: Decide who "shows up"

Common questions

Do we need to be in the same place? No. The two photos are taken separately, and the video has you both dancing in one studio.

Does my partner need an account? No. Only the person who uploads the photos and pays signs in.

Can I make it as a surprise? Only after they've agreed to be in this video. The surprise is seeing the finished video.

Can it be my parent or grandparent? Yes, if you are 18 or older, they are 18 or older, and they agree. Nobody under 18 can be in the video.
