What Is the A2O LITE NEON Trend? The White-Studio Duo Intro, Explained
The A2O LITE NEON trend copies the 15-second duo intro of the group's debut music video, where one dancer appears from behind the other in a white studio. Where it comes from, what happens in the intro, and how people make their own.
The A2O LITE NEON trend is people recreating the first 15 seconds of the music video for "NEON", the debut single of the K-pop girl group A2O LITE. In that intro one dancer starts alone in a bright white studio, a second dancer leans out from behind her shoulder, and the two finish the routine side by side. Fans post their own duo covers of it on TikTok and Reels, and since mid-October 2026 many of those covers are AI videos made from two ordinary photos.
Quick facts
- The song: "NEON", the debut digital single of A2O LITE, released on October 13, 2026.
- The group: A2O LITE, a nine-member multinational girl group from A2O Entertainment, the agency founded by former SM Entertainment producer Lee Soo-man.
- The chart run: "NEON" reached No. 1 on Melon's Top 100 29 hours after release, the fastest debut-song No. 1 for a rookie group since Melon revamped its chart in 2021, according to Korea JoongAng Daily.
- The part people copy: the two-dancer intro at the very start of the music video, about 15 seconds long.
- The spelling: A2O, with the letter O. Searching for "A20 LITE" or "A20 NEON" finds the same thing.
What happens in the 15-second intro
The intro is short, but it has a clear shot list, which is why it is so easy to recognize in a cover:
- Solo open (0–1 s). The front dancer stands alone in the white studio.
- The pop-out (1–3 s). The second dancer leans out over the front dancer's shoulder.
- Hand wipe (3–5 s). A tilted low angle, then a hand sweeps across the lens.
- Hair flip (5–6 s). A close-up on the front dancer, hair flying.
- Point at the lens (6–7 s). Both lean into the camera and point.
- Side by side (7–11 s). A wide shot of the routine in sync, with knee bends and turns.
- Close finish (11–15 s). A tight two-shot to the last beat.
The pop-out in the second shot is the signature move. If you see two people in a white room and one of them appears from behind the other, it is almost certainly this trend.
According to Star News, the two-dancer intro choreography was produced by dancer J-Black and his team.
How the trend spread
The music video went out with the single on October 13. Fans quickly started filming the intro with a friend, because it only needs two people, a plain wall and 15 seconds. By October 15, Korean entertainment media were already reporting AI-made versions of the intro, where two people who never danced it appear to perform it side by side.
That second wave is the one most people now see on TikTok: covers made from two photos instead of a film shoot. It works for coworkers, friends in different cities, couples and siblings, because nobody needs to learn the dance or stand in the same room.
How to do the NEON trend yourself
There are two ways to make your own version.
Film it. Learn the intro, find a white or light wall, put the phone at chest height and record the two of you. Match the shot list above: one person alone first, the second leaning out from behind, then side by side. It takes practice, especially the hand wipe and the close finish.
Make it with AI. Upload one photo of each person to A2O LITE NEON AI and get a 15-second 16:9 video of the two of you doing the intro, with the original NEON intro sound and a silent copy. It takes about 10 minutes, and it's a one-time payment with no subscription. The step-by-step guide is in how to make the A2O LITE NEON AI dance.
Common questions
Is the NEON trend a CapCut template? The trend is the dance itself, not one specific template. People film it, edit their own clips in CapCut, or generate it with AI from photos.
Do both people need to be in the same place? Only if you film it. With an AI video, each person can send a selfie from wherever they are.
Can I use photos of the A2O LITE members or other celebrities? No. Only use photos of adults who agreed to be in the video, and label realistic AI videos as AI-generated when you post them; TikTok asks creators to do this.
Is A2O LITE NEON AI official? No. It's an independent fan-made tool, not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by A2O Entertainment or A2O LITE.
